Here we are at my Grandmother Cramer's house.
Do you see the dolls in the picture? I told you I got a doll every Christmas. This year (1955) I got two.
I'm holding the same little doll that my cousin Rosie is holding. We each got one. They have bright red hair and blue outfits that Grandmother crocheted. The lovely tall doll is really mine, even if she is leaning on Rosie. Notice your Dad's new Davy Crockett outfit with the fringe? He had a coonskin cap that went along with it.
Here's who all these people are:
Start at the back by the tree. On the left side (behind me) is my cousin Mary Elizabeth. She is Aunt Fritzi's daughter and has beautiful chestnut hair. Next to her is my Dad. He has set the timer on the camera and hurried around to get in the picture. He's behind Aunt Elizabeth, the oldest of the Cramer sisters. Aunt Fritzi is the next one and next to her is Aunt Martha. Aunt Martha is married to Uncle Mark. He's sitting on the arm of the chair and has his hand on Grandmother's shoulder. Doesn't Grandmother look happy? She loved having everyone together at her house. My mother is beside Grandmother.
Sitting in front are the youngest kids - Joe B with his new train engine, cousin Rosie with her doll, and me with mine.
Happy Christmas!
